Nuts are such foods, certain dairy products (B.C. yoghurt), spices (B.C. red pepper) and seeds (B.C. linseed, hi).

The most popular are considered detox smoothies, that is, the ones they have detoxifying properties.

 

Smoothies: Why should we include them in our diet?

The World Health Organization recommends consumption 5 servings of fruit and vegetables per day. So here's one reason why we need smoothies. At the same time they give us energy, stimulation and significantly strengthen the immune system, regardless of age or fitness. So the smoothies:

  1. They generously offer energy
  2. They are healthy since they contain fruits and vegetables
  3. They are easily prepared at home
  4. They enhance the beauty of the skin
  5. They have antioxidant activity and many vitamins (mainly E and C)
  6. They improve cardiovascular function
  7. They contribute to the regulation of sugar
  8. They help the functioning of the intestine and the digestive system
  9. They maintain or even control our weight, enhancing the proper functioning of the metabolism

 

What we need to know about smoothies

Their disadvantages are the large percentage of vegetable fiber that is lost during mixing and the fact that they are not complete in all the necessary nutrients (protein, iron, calcium). One is to add your own protein during mixing.

  • If your stomach is sensitive, be very careful with the choice of materials. The same applies to cases of irritable bowel. It would be good to consult your Dietician or treating Doctor.
  • Choose your materials carefully and always based on the goal, that you want to achieve.
  • Smoothies are a meal in calories and energy, but this does not mean that we replace our daily meals with this healthy snack.
