MATERIALS
- 2 cups olive oil
- Whole wheat flour as much as possible
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 mug of natural orange juice
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- Scrape from 1 big orange
For the syrup:
- 1 cup of honey
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 mug of water
- peels from 1 orange
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- And chopped walnuts for garnish
IMPLEMENTATION
Pour the oil into a large bowl, the sugar, the cinnamon, cloves and orange zest soda with orange juice. Mix the ingredients with the mixer for approx 3 minutes.
Mix the flour with the baking powder, throw them into the mixture little by little and knead until it becomes a soft and fluffy dough. Place a piece of parchment paper on the baking sheet, shape the honey macaroons into the shape you prefer and place them in the pan. Put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for approx 20-25 minutes until they take on color.
Then put the honey in a pot, the brown sugar, the water, cinnamon sticks and orange peels. Stir with a spoon and once the syrup is well boiled, remove the skins, the sticks and it's ready.
After the honey macaroons are baked, mail them from 5 up to 10 minutes, dropping little by little into the saucepan with the syrup so that they draw.
Place them on a plate and sprinkle the walnuts on them so that they stick to the syrup.
